The pump motor is at the surface. A helical screw is inside a pipe with the pump near the bottom of the well. Pump suction is equal to length of pipe

The hose end must sit 3m from the bottom of the well to ensure it does not suck up dirt & debris. Therefore hose may need to be shortened. It's easy to do: see our You Tube Video
The hose pipe must not get creased or kinked which will reduce pressure & potentially crack the hose pipe over time

The pump has an anti freeze function so when the pump is powered off, there is no water inside the pump or pipe, therefore it will not crack in freezing temperatures
